Map of Plot and Description

Our plot of land is directly adjacent to the Forest Theater and across the street from Jackson Hall, the admissions building. Termed the "Urban Wild Interface" out of our class this plot was the closest in proximity to the University. The plot sloped slowly downwards starting from the area closest to the road and campus. We found a wide array of tree species including American Beech, Red Maple, White Oak, and Red Oak with the most populous tree species being the American Beech. Most of the trees appeared to be fully grown but inside the plot there was some evidence that a few saplings may be trying to develop despite the density of the plot. Despite the close proximity to campus the interior of the plot seemed relatively unchanged and the only evidence of constant human contact was on a path that bordered the plot.
