Spanish Bullfighting and the Sacred Bull: Celtic Influences in Modern Practice, curated by Amanda Sparger

The institution of Bullfighting in Spain can best be described as a modern cult of the bull. Within this exhibition, I explore the ways in which the Celtiberian art-historical record reflects the role the Celtic culture had in the evolution of this modern practice, and the significance these pagan roots have in the sport today.
